Save North and Bibra Lakes Postcards Story In 2000 the award winning Channel 9 Perth Postcards show broadcast a story on the educational, social, indigenous and environmental significance of North and Bibra Lakes. This short video captures the essence of the area and the social importance to the wider community of Western Australia.

Save North and Bibra Lakes Farrington Road Blockade In 1984, North Lake was a scene of public outrage, with the community literally risking their lives to protect the wetlands from the construction of Farrington Rd. This short video captures their courageous fight, which has become known as the Farrington Rd Blockade of 1984 and it remains a benchmark in community protest.

Save North and Bibra Lakes Patrick Hume Local Elder Patrick is the local Nyoongar Elder of North and Bibra Lakes and a campaigner in promoting the significance of the area and what it means to the Nyoongar Aboriginal people. In this video, Patrick expresses the wishes of the Nyoongar Elders and community, and why they believe North and Bibra Lakes must be preserved and protected for all Australians.

Save North and Bibra Lakes Aboriginal Community Say No Roe 8 - Rally In 2009, the City of Cockburn's Aboriginal Reference Group, consulted with the local Aboriginal community through open invitation, three meetings were held on the 17th & 22nd September and the 6th October 2009. The outcome from these meetings concluded that:

"Today we say NO ROE 8 and we will not compromise on the desecration of our land, culture and future. The sacredness of this site has been officially documented, and is a matter of public record."

Save North and Bibra Lakes Roe Highway Protest Rally In 2001, over 1000 people attended a rally held at Bibra Lake in protest against the construction of Roe Hwy stage 8. This sent a clear message that the community were prepared to fight to protect North and Bibra Lakes. This video shows the Channel 9 news story and extra interviews recorded on the day.
